Content:

With many years of practices in writing the Heart Sutra in Chinese calligraphy and drawing GuanYin (Chinese term for Avalokitesvara, the bodhisattva of great compassion), Master Xi-Song, in collaboration with Lion Art, is holding an exhibition,  “Smiles from A Valley—a smiling eight-treasure box”. Starting from now until 30th of Oct, this exhibition is being presented in Shi-Yang, showing many drawing pieces of GuanYin done in the style of Chinese plain sketch, a smiling eight-treasure box, a smiling eight-treasure bag, and more. Whether you are a guest enjoying a meal in Shi-Yang, or coming here solely for the exhibition, please take time to feel the simple presence of the nature and yourself while taking a leisurely stroll in the valleys and the tea houses; please read and enjoy the calligraphies of the Heart Sutra and those smiling bodhisattvas; and, through the constellation of these artworks and the space of Shi-Yang that nourish each other, please explore the soothing tranquility and the “smile” hidden in Xi-Song’s “Eight Treasures”, and in your own heart.
